Woolrich, the deep down American outdoor wear

Woolrich is an outdoor clothing brand born in 1830 in Pennsylvania.
The founder is an Englishman, John Rich, who emigrated to America from the United Kingdom, with great skills in the processing of wool but also a good salesman . Let’s see where to find Woolrich clothing in stores and outlets around Varese, Milan and Como.

It is said that John Mill himself went to the mines and fields to sell his warm clothes to workers subject to therigid winter temperatures in those areas.
Soon, the needs of the production made in a short time  a great change: the mills  of Rich grew and developed real villages to accommodate the workers who came from the surroundings. Woolrich is now the name of one of these villages from which the industrial adventure started.

The brand has always focused on the quality of fabrics to give the best of clothing for outdoor life, to practice sports, go hunting or to work. Woolrich is best known for his parkas, which resist the harsher temperatures and were worn by the first explorers of Antarctica, but also for flannel shirts, the iconic garment par excellence, recently finished also on display at the MOMA in New York in an exhibition dedicated to the American leaders objects in the world . The Woolrich Buffalo Check Mens Shirt, the red and black checked flannel shirt, born in 1850, is still one of the best sellers in the American company. A boast of Woolrich, is to continue to work the wool and to produce in Pennsylvania and not to delegate in countries where labor would cost less but would downgrade the quality.
