At the beginning there were only backpacks and travel bags, then the businesswoman of Aosta Giuliana Rosset began to reflect on the strong appeal of the Nordic world, pioneer explorers who challenge the cold and the ice for the sake of discovery, and from these reflections arose in 1987 the Napaijiri brand, which in Finnish means “polar circle”.
Mrs. Rosset had time to take off the brand and sell it almost twenty years later to Vanity Fair, the same holding company that also runs North Face, Vans and Timberland, with the result that now Napapijri is present in more than 100 boutiques single-brand stores scattered around the world, and sold in the most prestigious boutiques.
